These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of FindYourPhotographer.ca (the "Site"), operated by FindYourPhotographer.ca ("we", "us", or "our"). By using this Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
FindYourPhotographer.ca is an online directory connecting clients with photographers operating in Ontario, Canada. We do not act as an agent, employer, or representative of any photographer listed on the Site, and we are not a party to any agreement between a client and a photographer.
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
Listings on FindYourPhotographer.ca are either submitted by photographers directly or researched and added by our team from publicly available sources. By submitting a listing, photographers confirm that all information provided is accurate, up to date, and belongs to them.
We reserve the right to approve, reject, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion, at any time, without notice.
Each photographer listing belongs to the real photographer it represents. To claim a listing, photographers submit a request including their Instagram handle. We verify ownership by sending a one-time code via Instagram direct message from our official account — only the person who controls the Instagram account associated with a listing can complete verification. No one may claim or manage a listing on behalf of another person without express written authorization.
Listings are not auto-generated or AI-fabricated. Every listing represents a real, active photographer in Ontario. If you believe a listing misrepresents you or your business, contact us immediately at hello@findyourphotographer.ca.
When you send an inquiry through a photographer's profile, that message is forwarded directly to the photographer. FindYourPhotographer.ca is not responsible for the photographer's response time, availability, pricing, or quality of work. All bookings, contracts, and payments happen directly between you and the photographer — we are not involved in, and take no commission from, any transaction.
Photographers may subscribe to a paid plan to unlock additional profile features. Subscription fees are charged on a monthly basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of listings, but we do not guarantee that any information on the Site is current, complete, or error-free. Photographers are responsible for keeping their own information accurate. If you notice an error in a listing, please let us know at hello@findyourphotographer.ca.
The FindYourPhotographer.ca name, logo, and site design are our property. Photographers retain ownership of any photos, bios, or other content they submit. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Site for the purpose of operating the directory.
FindYourPhotographer.ca is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your use of the Site, reliance on any listing, or any transaction between a client and a photographer. This includes indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Photographer profiles may link to external sites including Instagram, personal websites, and Google Maps. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms or use of the Site shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
